A Volunteer’s Heartfelt Arrival at MECFC

Luc Van Ham from the Netherlands visited MECFC and generously volunteered to teach English to the children in the village. His presence was warmly welcomed, and the children truly enjoyed the learning activities he introduced. The volunteer thoroughly enjoyed riding with the children in the village. It was a joyful and memorable experience, as they shared laughter and fun while exploring the surroundings together. The children’s excitement and energy made the ride even more special, and it allowed for a deeper connection between the volunteer and the community. This simple yet meaningful activity became one of the highlights of the volunteer's time at MECFC, bringing a sense of unity and happiness to both the volunteer and the children.
The experience was enriching for everyone involved, as Luc's enthusiasm and dedication to teaching helped foster a positive and engaging environment for learning. The children at MECFC were excited to participate, making it a memorable and impactful experience for all.

Sandun Lakshan Claims 3rd Place in All-Island School Games - Karate

One of our students, Sandun Lakshan, has achieved third place in the All-Island Karate Kumite event. He represented A/Siddhartha National College in the competition. We are incredibly proud to have supported him in this achievement by providing teaching and facilities for his practice at MECFC. - Karate instructor, Mr. Jeewan Prasad Wijerathne.

In early 2024, our founder made the decision to construct a dedicated hall for Karate and Judo practices, which is now almost complete. This new facility will provide a space specifically designed to enhance the training experience for our students, fostering further growth and success in these disciplines. The completion of this hall marks an exciting step forward in supporting the development of martial arts at MECFC.
